This track was recorded in April 2015 in Oka Nature Reserve, Central Russia, where birds are raised by ornithologists. There are several species of cranes who are living in the aviaries, not just Grey cranes but also Siberian White crane (Russian endemic), Black, American, Japan and unique hybrid crane (White + Grey). From time to time forests around are filled with the deafening roll call from the aviary that goes on somewhere beyond the river, where birds from the other aviaries are responding.

Breathtaking work. A category of its own, where words like "beautiful" or "ugly" (and all similar words) are meaningless.
This just ís. Sound. Breathtaking. Overwhelming.

"There is a somewhat paradoxical sense of an industrial landscape and an ostensibly barren, alien world. Dissonances develop and ebb, as do less uneasy elements, purring and whirring in the fog...A thoughtful and deep work for your subconscious to ponder. Side B heads into truly glorious, if subtle, territory"
