about
"For 'Under Water' I recorded all the sounds during Jez riley French's workshop, using hydrophones and contact microphones, searching for beats and melodies in gullies, puddles, hidden tubes, pots, pennies and staircases. I also took the chance to test the water resistance of the new iPhone by recording Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” under water and using snippets of it that I processed along with the other sounds to create a small world under water."
Breathtaking work. A category of its own, where words like "beautiful" or "ugly" (and all similar words) are meaningless.
This just ís. Sound. Breathtaking. Overwhelming.
